Menren.co went live to paid traffic on 21 July. This reads only the nine days since — the store's genuine first exposure to strangers — and separates what is working from what is costing money.
Six strangers bought from a brand they had never heard of, at an average of EGP 1,451, in the first nine days of the first campaign the store has ever run. One order is already delivered and paid. That is a real result and it should be read as one. Everything below is context for improving it — not a scorecard, and not a comparison against stores that have been advertising for years.
One order shipped, was delivered and was paid — proof the whole chain works. The other five have not left, so EGP 7,215 of the EGP 8,705 booked is still a promise while the EGP 6,031 spent to win it is already gone.
Traffic arrives inside Facebook's and Instagram's embedded browsers, the most fragile place on the internet to take a payment. 43 JavaScript errors were recorded in three days and the two most common are specific to those webviews.
At EGP 1,005 to win an order worth EGP 1,451, advertising alone consumes 69% of the sale. Meta reports this campaign at 2.97x because it counted the test orders as customers; the real return is 1.44x. Decisions are currently being made on roughly double the true figure.
The Cartouche Tee draws a third of all product interest and has 12 units left. The Ren Shirt draws 6% of interest and holds 446 units — 42% of everything in the warehouse.
The preorder app makes Shopify print recurring-payment terms above the Pay now button. The chat agent was shown to 86% of visitors and produced four conversations averaging six seconds. Both decisions are in section 07.
Order value is high, five of the six orders arrived in the final two days as the campaign found its footing, one order completed end to end without a hitch, rage clicks are zero and the site loads fast. Nothing suggests the product or the pricing is wrong.
Sixteen order numbers exist in the admin. Six of them are customers. Getting this right changes every figure in the report, so here is the whole reconciliation.
All placed after the 21 July launch. One delivered and paid; five awaiting despatch.
Five of six orders landed on 28 and 29 July. The campaign took a week to start producing, then produced five orders in 48 hours. That pattern is worth protecting — and it makes the despatch backlog urgent, because these are the store's very first customers.
#1006 and #1007 on 18 July — placed to test the payment gateway and shipping. They are marked paid and delivered, which is exactly why they distorted the earlier read.
#1002, #1003, #1005 and #1008 are voided at EGP 0. A further EGP 9,100 six-item order placed 21 July and reversed on 23 July belongs to the tester client. Together these produced EGP 11,089 of reversals in the raw export.
Clarity identified 26 bot sessions in 158 — web scrapers and suspicious networks. Shopify separately logged 124 sessions from a Google data centre in Iowa. Neither ever adds to a cart, and left in they halve every rate.
EGP 6,031 of Meta spend produced six orders worth EGP 8,705, of which EGP 1,490 has reached the bank. Both halves of that sentence matter.
You do not yet have a production cost per item, so rather than assume one, here is what each possible margin would mean at today's EGP 1,005 cost per order.
Shipping is roughly neutral — you charge EGP 90 and pay about the same. So the whole picture rests on two numbers: your production cost, and the EGP 1,005 it currently takes to find a buyer. Send the first and we can replace this chart with a fact.
Order #1009 proves the chain works end to end: shipped, delivered, cash collected. Five more orders worth EGP 7,215 have not started that journey, and with cash on delivery a sale is only real when the courier hands money back.
Two risks follow. The first is arithmetic: the EGP 6,031 is spent whatever happens, so every refused delivery raises the true cost per order — at 80% acceptance it becomes {{ cacAdj }}. The second is reputational: these are the first customers Menren has ever had, and a slow first delivery is the most expensive kind of disappointment a new brand can buy.
Clarity was installed on 28 July, so this covers 27–29 July: 158 sessions, 26 of them bots. It is the first behavioural data the store has ever had, and it is the most useful thing in this report.
Share of sessions by the browser the visitor was actually using.
An in-app browser is a stripped-down window inside Facebook or Instagram. It handles saved cards and autofill badly, loses sessions when a payment redirects to an external site, and runs JavaScript less reliably than a real browser. Every visitor Menren pays for arrives in one — and is then offered a payment method that redirects off-site.
43 JavaScript errors in three days. The most common, in 37% of affected sessions, is an iOS webview failure. Another 9% is the Android webview equivalent. These are not theme bugs — they are the environment, and they are how a payment fails without anyone noticing.
Four measurements that describe the same visitor.
Read together: a visitor taps an ad, stays under half a minute, sees the top 42% of one page, and one in ten taps straight back. Nothing is broken — rage clicks are zero and dead clicks 1.3% — they simply are not being given a reason to stay in the first screen they see. Whatever the ad promises has to be visible without scrolling.
Clarity's performance reading, and where it is weak.
The site loads fast and does not jump around. What it does not do is respond quickly to a tap: 352ms against a 200ms target, on phones already running a cut-down browser. Every extra script — chat, wishlist, reviews, preorder — adds to that, so the number of apps is now a performance decision, not only a features decision.
Sessions per page, 27–29 July. One product takes a third of everything.
The Cartouche Tee alone accounts for 34% of all product page sessions — more than the next two products combined. It is also the product with the least stock left. That single mismatch is section 06.
Clarity cannot see purchases — Shopify's checkout sits on a different domain — so its funnel stops at checkout. Combining the two sources gives a better answer than either alone.
From Meta's own reporting for the single campaign, Sales-Conversion-15-July, EGP 6,031 spent. Percentages are of the 667 paid link clicks.
Across the full campaign, 6.9% of people who reached a page added something to a cart, and 55% of those started checkout. Both are normal. So the product pages are not the weak link — Clarity's 3.0% was a three-day sample that read worse than reality.
17% of the clicks you paid for produced no page view. At EGP 9.04 a click that is roughly EGP 1,020 spent on visitors who saw nothing. A slow first load inside the Facebook browser is the most likely cause, and it is measurable.
21 people opened a checkout and 6 became customers. Fifteen decided buyers walked away at the last step — the same conclusion the in-app browser evidence and the preorder wording both point at.
Of 132 real sessions.
Clarity also logged one add-to-cart being reversed and four form submissions. At these volumes single events move the percentages a lot, so treat the shape as the signal and the decimals as noise.
Meta’s reporting shows 8 purchases worth EGP 17,909.70 against EGP 6,031 spent, which it calls a 2.97x return. Shopify shows six real customer orders worth EGP 8,705 in the same period. The true return on this campaign is 1.44x, and the true cost per customer order is EGP 1,005 rather than the EGP 754 Meta reports.
The gap is not Meta being wrong — it is Meta being told the wrong thing. The owner’s two test orders (EGP 2,898) fired the purchase pixel, and so did the tester client’s EGP 9,100 order before it was reversed. Meta has no way to know those were not customers, so it counted them, kept their value, and is now optimising towards more of the same.
The right comparison for a nine-day-old store running its first campaign is another new store, not an established one.
Three lines are genuinely off: what it costs to win an order, how many paid clicks actually load the page, and how few checkouts finish. Add-to-cart, order value and click-through are all fine — which is why this is a fixable problem rather than a broken store.
Nine days is too short to judge a product, but long enough to see that interest and inventory are not lined up. This is the clearest operational finding in the report.
Page sessions from Clarity, stock from the sell-through export. Read each row as a pair.
The pattern is consistent: the two products people want most, the Cartouche Tee and the Relief Tee, have 12 and 9 units left. The two with the deepest stock, the Ren Shirt at 446 and the Stillness Polo at 120, draw the least interest. Nothing in this report is easier to act on than restocking the Cartouche Tee.
1,063 units across 284 variants and 14 products.
The Ren Shirt has 70 size-and-colour combinations. At nine days old with one campaign running, a catalogue this wide cannot be photographed, described or advertised properly — and the cash sitting in it is cash that is not in the Cartouche Tee.
45 of 284 variants are out of stock while still on the site.
Half the Meridian's sizes and a third of the Dune's are gone, and the Dune drew the second-highest interest of any product. A visitor who picks their size and finds it unavailable is a lost customer rather than a lost sale — and this is the likeliest reason the Dune's 27 sessions produced so little.
Neither of these is a mistake. Both were reasonable choices that the first nine days of real data now argue against.
A preorder button on an out-of-stock product is a sensible idea and the app is behaving exactly as intended. What it cannot control is how Shopify then classifies the order. Once any item in the cart is a preorder, the whole cart becomes a deferred purchase — and that changes the checkout in ways nobody chose. Four reasons to take it off:
Directly above the Pay now button, the checkout tells the customer their payment method "will automatically be charged at the price and frequency listed on this page until it ends or you cancel", and links to a cancellation policy. That is standard Shopify text for deferred purchases. To someone buying one polo for EGP 1,470 it reads as a recurring charge, at the exact moment they are deciding whether to trust a brand they met ten minutes ago.
A preorder works when the customer pays up front — that payment is the commitment. With COD nobody pays anything, so you carry all the risk: you hold the demand, you wait for stock, then you ask someone to accept a parcel they ordered weeks earlier. Every day of delay makes refusal more likely, and a refused COD parcel costs you shipping both ways.
The Stillness Polo is a preorder product and it is the first item in the Best Seller collection. It drew 10 sessions in three days. Every one of those visits was paid for, and none could result in a parcel this week. Paid traffic should only ever land on something you can ship tomorrow.
Preorders add a second fulfilment queue, with its own promised dates and follow-up messages, on top of a backlog you are already behind on. Until orders leave within 48 hours, taking on future obligations makes the real problem harder.
Replace it with a "notify me when it is back" email capture. You keep the same demand signal, you learn which sizes to reorder, the checkout returns to normal, and you start building a mailing list — which the store does not have today. Clarity recorded 2 returning visitors out of 133; email is how that number stops being 2.
One thing to check while you are in there: the sell-through export shows 120 units against The Stillness Polo while the app still treats it as out of stock. You mentioned stock was topped up after some sizes ran out — if so, the preorder flag is simply stale and the product can be sold normally today.
You asked what I think, so here it is plainly. The agent has only been live a few days, which is not enough to condemn it. But the nudge — the message that appears unasked — is measurably not working, and on a phone it is not free.
Four conversations came out of 117 nudges, averaging half a turn each — meaning most people who opened it said nothing and left. Meanwhile the bubble occupies the bottom of a phone screen, exactly where the add-to-cart button lives, in front of visitors who stay 29 seconds. Removing an unasked interruption cannot lose you a sale.
The four conversations were about product discovery and product details, and sentiment was neutral throughout — nobody was frustrated. That is a real signal that people want product information. Keep a quiet entry point and let the next 30 days with more traffic decide. Note also that it reports zero assisted sales partly because it cannot see Shopify's checkout, so that figure is not evidence against it.
Tap responsiveness is 352ms against a 200ms target, on phones running Facebook's cut-down browser. Every app script contributes. The agent is not necessarily the cause, but with wishlist, reviews, preorder and chat all loading, this is worth measuring app by app.
Twelve actions. None needs extra ad budget, and the first five are settings or operations you can finish this week.
Turn booked revenue into collected cash and stop paying for pages that cannot sell.
Same budget, aimed better, and built for the phone your visitors are actually holding.
The work that makes the next hundred orders cheaper than the first six.
Targets for the end of August, set for a store in its second month rather than its second year.
Five gaps. Closing them takes about an hour of exports and one conversation with your supplier.
The one number that turns this report from directional into definitive. Whether the campaign works depends entirely on it, and nobody can supply it but you.
Clarity only covers the last three days. A Shopify sessions-over-time export for the whole post-launch window gives a real conversion rate instead of the encouraging estimate in section 05.
The campaign record starts 2 June although the store launched on 21 July, so part of the EGP 6,031 may have been spent before launch. A daily export would show how much was spent in the nine days that matter, and automatic placements still hide whether Facebook or Instagram earns more per pound.
COD acceptance is the single biggest unknown in the economics. Once these six orders close we will know the real refusal rate, and cost per order can be recalculated on delivered sales rather than placed ones.
Six orders over nine days is a signal, not a trend. Every rate here will move as volume grows, so treat the direction as reliable and the exact percentages as provisional.
In nine days and on EGP 6,031, Menren.co found six strangers willing to pay an average of EGP 1,451, and delivered and collected on the first one. For a first campaign that is a working start. Two things stand between this and a business that scales: EGP 1,005 to acquire each order, and five parcels that have not left the building.
Ship the backlog, stop the pixel counting test orders as sales, remove the preorder app, and find out what a shirt costs to make. Those four things, in that order — and note that the product pages are already doing their job, so leave them alone until the payment step is fixed.
The Cartouche Tee
النمط ثابت: المنتجان الأكثر رغبةً، The Cartouche Tee و The Relief Tee، بقي منهما 12 و9 قطع. والمنتجان بأكبر مخزون، The Ren Shirt بـ 446 و The Stillness Polo بـ 120، يجذبان أقل اهتمام. The Cartouche Tee.
The Cartouche Tee.
